Arsenal goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski wants to build on his first clean sheet for the Gunners and help them finish the Premier League season on a high.
The Polish goalkeeper has been playing first-team football for Arsenal in recent weeks due to an injury to first-choice Manuel Almunia, which will also rule him out of the Gunners final two Premier League games.
This means Fabianski will retain the keeper's jersey for the rest of the season and he wants to show Gunners fans he is capable of being the Arsenal number one despite the criticism he received this season after some high-profile blunders.
Fabianski put in a calamitous performance against Porto in the Champions League and then also received condemnation for errors in Arsenal's defeat to Wigan earlier this month - a loss which effectively ended their title challenge. Before that game some had suggested Arsenal's run-in made them the likely title winners despite what the football betting suggested.
"The boss shows he believes in me and I just want to take the opportunities and show I am good enough. You just have to manage yourself in a good way and keep believing in yourself, keep working and fighting" said the 'keeper.
Fabianski is also hoping to help Poland upset the World Cup 2010 betting in South Africa this summer, although Celtic's Artur Boruc is likely to be number one.
Many fans think that Arsene Wenger needs to sign a new goalkeeper during the summer, and the boss has stated he wants all transfer activity to be done earlier rather than later in the transfer window.
The French manager said "one or two" additions are needed and it could be "dangerous" to leave things until after the World Cup as prices might become over inflated.
