Despite reports suggesting that Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor was set to reject a move to AC Milan, the Italian club still seem ready to make an offer for the player, according to The Mirror.
The Serie A club are now, according to the British tabloid, ready to offer £20 million in cash as well as defensive midfielder Mathieu Flamini in exchange for the Togolese striker.
The offer, if made, would no doubt interest Gunners boss Arsene Wenger, who is in desperate need of a battling central midfielder, and could welcome Frenchman Flamini back to the club.
The Gunners however, have reportedly tabled an offer for Fiorentina midfielder Felipe Melo, who impressed during Brazil's Confederations Cup triumph in South Africa.
The future of the Brazilian midfielder has been in the balance for a long time following his impressive displays for both club and country, and it is believed that Europe's major sides are trailing him, with Arsenal and Juventus reportedly the front runners.
Flamini meanwhile has found life hard since leaving the Emirates Stadium, struggling to establish himself in the Milan first team until the second half of the season, and only getting his opportunity when other players have been injured.
The 25-year-old might be interested in a move back to north London to work once again with the man who discovered him, and in turn, could be exactly the player Arsenal fans want at the club.
